my tip:

If you use a new lock cylinder you will be supplied 12 or so flags and springs to allow for every key combination. If you are using a pre-keyd cylinder (as I am) then you won't have enough keys to allow for a full alignment, unless you very lucky. If you can't get your lock to align using the existing flags, just get as many as you can to align then remove the rest, I managed to get all bar one to fit and simply left the offending one out, it was a #3.
